It's the question that's been on fans' minds for months and Comics Buyer's Guide #1652 provides the answers with exclusive interviews with the film's director Zack Snyder, as well as stars Jackie Haley and Jeffrey Morgan. It starts with a cover by our own graphic designer Shawn Williams. There's so much Watchmen material packed inside, including a Retro Obligatory Fight Scene from Jim Johnson and John Petty that we simply didn't have enough room to fit all the articles in. Click here for an interview with artist Dave Gibbons. Can't wait to get your copy to see all that's inside? We've posted several full articles from the issue at various places on CBGXtra! Check out the links below. Mr. Silver Age examines the inactive life of Captain Action here. John Jackson Miller concludes his series of columns on starting your own webcomic. You'll find the latest installment here. Also in this issue: CBG Senior Editor Maggie Thompson visits with Spirit comics writer (and the film's executive producer) Michael Uslan and artist FJ DeSanto in her Beautiful Balloons column which you'll find here. Peter David also looks at The Spirit among other types of reviews. Even Captain Comics shares some Spirit-ed debate. Michelle Nolan looks at a quintet of blonde bombshells. And, you'll find a PDF of this month's letters column here. Plus, we have plenty of reviews of comics, trade paperbacks, videos, and other comics-related materials! All this and more, plus the largest and most complete monthly price guide in comics. It's all in Comics Buyer's Guide #1652, shipping now!

But this one, the April issue, seemed a little less valuable. The Top Ten favorite covers had diminished to No Favorite Covers, and Chuck Rozanski's face was seen smiling from his birthday announcement, but his column was missing. Am I missing something here, or are your columnists disappearing? I don't remember reading anything about this in advance, but where is Beau, the no nonsense feller that talked about dropping comics that no longer entertain? Missing this month. And the other guy, the guy who recently talked about various four colour printing technologies, while wearing a tux in his photo... gone! As I fold the cover closed on another $5US, I hope that Mr Silver Age and Peter David continue to contribute to CBG, or a least provide a forwarding address when they leave... Chuck has been on a bimonthly schedule since last summer. As for Marc Patten, his column is on hiatus for a bit. No worries about Peter David, Craig Shutt, Captain Comics, Tony Isabella, or Michelle Nolan. They're all still with us each and every month. Thanks for the concerns.

Just to let everyone know, Chuck also has a great email newsletter that you can sign up for on his website (milehighcomics.com) that includes and expands upon many of the same subjects he discusses in his CBG column. The newsletter usually comes out 1-2 times a week, except during the weekend of SDCC, when he provides a few additional reports in his coverage of this event. Chuck has an endless supply of subject matter that he discusses in his newsletter, and he always finds a way to connect it to the comic book market. Past newsletters have discussed everything from conventions and price guides, to the economy and his Pueblo pottery collection. Of course he also has regular sales of his vast comic book inventory that are announced through the newsletter as well. Chuck provides the kind of reporting and commentary that can only come from someone who has collected and worked in this industry for decades. He is literally starting to become the "Walter Cronkite" of comics. :-) Chris and Donna Galvan | Luigi Posts: 72
