Martin Greim eulogized Sub-Mariner creator Bill Everett, who had died in February. Other news related by Greim included the upcoming release of The World of Fanzines from Seduction of the Innocent author Fredric Wertham. ?I wonder what?s in store from the good doctor now?? Greim asked. Greim also described the sale of Richard Pini?s comic-book collection following its transfer to microfilm. Pini would later co-create Elfquest with wife Wendy Fletcher Pini.


Alan Light announced the launch of a sister publication to TBG, Golden Funnies, reprinting Golden Age comic strips. Jerry Bails announced the upcoming release of his Who?s Who of American Comic Books. And Superman fan and TBG reader Carl Hopkins wrote to announce he?d named his new son after Superman serial star Kirk Alyn.
