We have our friends at Antique Trader to thank for this idea. Recently, they posed a similar question to their readers and received dozens of responses.
As imaginative as our readers are, we’ll bet we can beat that with not only the sheer number of entries, but also the creativity. So, tell us what comics-related item or items you’d buy if you had $1,000 to spend.
You can respond below in our comments section or on our Facebook page or by sending an email to ohso@krause.com with the subject line: $1,000 comics question. We’ll take entries through Sunday, Dec. 16 at midnight, when we’ll go through all the entries received and pick the most creative and fun entry. The writer of that winning entry will receive signed copies of our two latest books — CBG Presents: The Greatest Comic Book Covers of All Time and Dangerous Curves.

The Magazine

If I had $1,000 to spend on comic-related stuff, I would go through my Amazon wish list! I have saved there many manga collections such as ‘Battle Angel Alita’, ‘Storm Riders’, as well as books from/about the works of Wally Wood, Frank Frazetta, etc., and comic book collections from creators such as: Milestone Media’s characters Icon, Static, and Hardware. These are some of the items I would purchase.
