25 yrs Jan 4, 1988 Roz Kirby sells several complete stories of Jack Kirby’s original art at auction.

15 yrs Jan 4, 1998 Voice artist Mae Questel dies of Alzheimer’s disease at age 89. She is best known as the voice of Betty Boop and Olive Oyl.

Turner Classic Movies has a science-fiction movie marathon starting at 8 p.m. E.T. with Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954). It’s followed at 9:30 by Tarantula (1955), The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957) at 11, and It Came from Outer Space (1953) at 12:30 a.m.

    I am back home after an extended leave (family emergency + holidays), so comic related plans includes going to my regular comics shop and pick up stuff I missed while away.
