• Comic-Con International: San Diego opens tonight with Preview Night when thousands scramble for the limited number of exclusive items and their first chance to see their favorite publishers and pros. CBG Senior Editor Maggie Thompson and CBG reviewer and commentator Jim Johnson are there. Are you?
• A 53-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car on Harbor Drive in San Diego Tuesday. She was part of a group camped out at the San Diego Convention Center near Hall H waiting for the final Twilight panel, which is scheduled for Thursday morning.
• Marvel has announced that, as part of its upcoming Marvel Now! Event, nine titles will end their runs in October: Captain America, Fantastic Four, FF, Incredible Hulk, Invincible Iron Man, New Mutants, The Mighty Thor, Uncanny X-Men, and X-Men Legacy. It’s expected that most will return shortly with new #1s.
