• Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain has a new comic book. Get Jiro!, co-written with Joel Rose and illustrated by Langdon Foss, is set in a future Los Angeles where chefs are warlords battling for territory and customers. The series, which began June 27, is published by DC’s Vertigo imprint. On a recent promo page in recent Vertigo titles, Bourdain wrote of his love of comics.

• Disney is planning an animated feature based on Marvel’s Big Hero 6 series. The team is a spin-off from Alpha Flight and was featured in a pair of mini-series in 1998 and 2008, respectively.
