Noted

New Yorker cartoonist Al Ross died March 22. He was 100. Born Abraham Roth, he was one of a quartet of artistic brothers whose work appeared in such magazines as Colliers, Esquire, and The Saturday Evening Post. Two of his brothers signed their work as Irving Roir and Salo, respectively, while the other didn’t change from his birth name of Ben Roth. Ross’ books included Sexcapades: The Love Life of the Modern Homo Sapiens and Cartooning Fundamentals.
