• According to The Detroit Free Press, after approximately 14 hours of deliberation, a Michigan jury has found former comics retailer Michael George guilty again in the 1990 murder of his wife, Barbara, at the couple’s comic-book store. The jury found George guilty on charges of first-degree murder, felony firearm, insurance fraud and false pretenses. George’s previous conviction, handed down in 2008, was overturned by that trial’s judge due to new evidence surfacing after the conviction, necessitating this second trial, which lasted approximately one month.
