• Valiant Entertainment has announced its first trade paperback. X-O Manowar: By the Sword will reprint the first four issues of the series. The 112-page book retails for $9.99 and is scheduled to ship Dec. 5.
• The Cartoon Art Museum’s Mad art exhibit is into its final days. The show closes Sept. 16.

• It’s Friday. That means a new installment of Pop Culture Happy Hour will be available for download over at NPR’s website.
• Early reviews of Dredd 3D, which is scheduled to open next Friday, Sept. 21, have been overwhelmingly positive. The film currently has a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
