Mark Millar has signed on as creative consultant to 20th Century Fox for its Marvel films. The studio has three Marvel movies in development at this time — The Wolverine, scheduled to open next July; X-Men: Days of Future Past, scheduled for July 2014; and a reboot of Fantastic Four, which doesn’t have an opening date scheduled at this time.

Millar is good friends with X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past director Matthew Vaughn, who also directed Kick-Ass and is producing Kick-Ass 2.

DC has announced that October 10, the date for the series premiere of Arrow on the CW network, is “Arrow Day” in comics shops where participating retailers will have free special editions of Arrow #1, promotional bags, and posters.
