Noted

DC has announced that John Layman will be the new writer and Jason Faybock will be the new artist on Detective Comics. Layman is perhaps best known for his creator-owned series, Chew.

Howard Chaykin will be working on new adventures of Buck Rogers for Hermes Press.

• According to numbers released by Diamond Comic Distributors, comics sales are up 18.6% for the first half of 2012 as compared to the first half of 2011. Much of that growth is attributed to Avengers vs. X-Men and Before Watchmen.
