While votes were solicited by The Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom for earlier awards programs such as The Goethe Awards, the Fan Awards is the only awards program actually administered by CBG. Only those issues published in or creators active during a given year were eligible. Voting has alternately been open to all or limited just to CBG subscribers. It is currently open to all again.
