As we reported in mid-November, Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming‘s Powers is slipping back into its old pattern of significant delays and the latest shipping updates from Diamond Comic Distributors confirm this.
According to the latest shipping updates, Powers #8, which was re-scheduled to ship Jan. 18, 2012, a full 17 months after its originally solicited shipping date is now delayed until Feb. 15.
The slip on the schedule is having a ripple effect on the other issues that have been solicited to date. Powers #9, re-scheduled until Feb. 1, 2012, is now delayed until March 7, making it 11 months late. Powers #10, previously re-scheduled to ship Feb. 29, is now scheduled to ship March 28. Powers #11, which was already delayed until March 21, now won’t ship until April 18, making it five months late from its originally solicited November shipping date.
